Our story
Green Chillis did not start as a business plan. It started as a problem nobody was solving well.
Across India and Southeast Asia, families were making one of the largest financial decisions of their lives on the advice of agents paid per enrolment. Universities abroad had no way to see what was being said in their name. Good institutions lost to whoever paid the highest commission, and students paid for the mismatch with years of their lives.
The problem was never the market. It was distance. An institution ten thousand kilometres away cannot correct a misrepresentation it never hears, cannot attend a fair it does not know about, and cannot build trust through a third party whose incentives point elsewhere. Presence was the missing variable.
We could have built another agency. Instead we built the thing institutions actually needed: a team that works for one university at a time, under that university's name, answerable to that university alone. A legal structure, a physical office and local staff — without the partner carrying the burden of a foreign entity.
Green Chillis now represents institutions across Europe and Asia from a Bengaluru directorate, covering South and Southeast Asia. The model has not changed since the first engagement: one accountable contract, one dedicated team, one institution's interests.
Operations are directed from Bengaluru and run across both of the markets that matter for international recruitment out of Asia.
Because our experience makes your entry seamless.
That is the whole point of the story — it stops being ours the moment you engage.
